Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

16th February 2010

Readers may recall teenager Amber Gibson, was elected Rose Queen at St Cuthbert’s Church, Darwen, Lancashire, last June, and chose ourselves and the RNLI as her charities to support during her year in office. (Amber is also a keen member of Springvale Ramblers)

She has been holding many charity events by way of supporting us and the RNLI, including a colouring competition for children at St Cuthbert’s School, a coffee morning, and a beetle drive at the end of this January.

So far Amber has kindly raised £968.00 for her chosen charities, and is planning another coffee morning in April and is taking part in the Darwen Rotary Clubs Tower Trudge Sponsored Walk in May. (For which incidentally we provide Standby Rescue cover for)

The entire team wishes Amber all continuing good luck with her marvellous and quite considerable fundraising efforts for the team and the RNLI, “it is really appreciated Amber.”
