Visit to our Base / HQ by South Lancashire Section of the Caravan Club
This evening twelve representatives of the South Lancashire Section of the Caravan Club visited our Ladybridge Hall, Bolton, Base / HQ to find out a little more about the Bolton MRT, given that the SLCC has made the Bolton MRT its Charity of the Year 2010 / 2011.
Led by Gerry Lunn, Charity Chairman for the South Lancashire Section of the Caravan Club, the SLCC members were met by Team Call Out list members Alan James, (Founder team member, 43 years MR experience and a Team Honorary Life Vice President) Chris Tennant, Fred Taylor and Trainee Team member Tony Woods.
Team member Alan James demonstrates some team equipment items to our Caravan Club guests within our vehicle bay at our Base / HQ.
All the SLCC members commented that they had never realised the very wide range of incidents the team is involved in, and were similarly amazed at the wide range of search and rescue equipment in use by the team.
At the conclusion of their visit two SLCC members made kind impromptu donations to the team totalling £15.00.
The team is very grateful to the South Lancashire Section of the Caravan Club for kindly agreeing to support the team in 2010 / 2011. All the members of the SLCC who attended were given Bolton Mountain Rescue
Team ’Car Supporter’ stickers and copies of the teams general publicity
leaflet.
