Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

9th September 2010

Following the successful awarding of a marvelous £3,000.00 donation to the team by the Bolton Council and Voluntary Services Small Grants Round of June 2010, (See website ’news’ article dated 26th June 2010) and a meeting with Mark Grundy of Bolton CVS early last month, (See website ’news’ article dated 5th August 2010) our Team Life Vice President Tony McNally was invited to the morning meeting today of the Bolton CVS Funding Forum to discuss the work of the team and how we have utilised their tremendous donation as a deposit against the purchase of three brand new Land Rover Defender Mountain Rescue Ambulances for the team.

Tony reports that all present at this mornings meeting expressed great interest in the work of the team, as indeed did Tony in the work of other groups also present at this mornings meeting at ’The Hub’ Bolton.

The team would like once again to thank Bolton Council and Voluntary Services Small Grants Round of June 2010 for so kindly supporting the work of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

Postscript………..

On Friday 10th September, Tony McNally received an email from Helen Tomlinson, Development Co-ordinator for Bolton CVS, the contents of which are reported in full here:

“Hi Tony, Just to say thank you so much for giving your presentation yesterday at the Funding Forum. Many people commented at the end on how informative and useful it was to hear about Bolton Mountain Rescue – of your achievements and also difficulties. I think it helps groups to hear that other organisations face similar problems but also how you overcome them too. Please pass on our best wishes to everyone involved in the work you do and congratulations on receiving your recent grant! With best wishes, Helen Tomlinson.”
