Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

31st December 2010

On the evening of Monday 6th December 2010, the team assisted NWAS (Greater Manchester) who were experiencing a high number of emergency calls on the Ambulance Service.

One of the calls was to an elderly lady who had fallen at home, and was attended by team members Craig Lamb, Steve Fletcher and Diane Blakeley.

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, received a very kind letter of thanks from Helen Walk of Conwy, North Wales, the daughter of the lady who had fallen.
In her letter, Helen stated:

“I am writing to express my gratitude to your team who responded to a 999 call that I made on Monday December 6th. Your team came to the aid of my 92 year old mother who had fallen in her home. I was so impressed by the kindness and care extended to my mother, and full of admiration for your team of volunteers who are so generous in helping out in the community, having already completed their own hours of employment. Please extend a huge ’thank you’ to all concerned.”

Within her very kind letter of thanks, Helen also kindly enclosed a donation to the team of £50.00.

It is always nice to receive thanks of this nature, and all the team wishes Helen Walk and her mother all best wishes for 2011 and we all send our fullest thanks for this donation.
