As part of NWAS (GMA) pre-arranged plan to cope with peak demand calls during the New Year’s celebrations, the Team continued to directly assist NWAS (GMA) with ambulance calls throughout the early hours of New Year’s Day.
9 team members mobilised to crew three Team Land Rover Ambulances which were placed at the disposal of NWAS (GMA), and 4 further team members provided incident control & admin support at our Ladybridge Hall Base/HQ.
The first job of 2011 was tasked at 00:03 (our incident 1/2011). The last job came in at 05:10 (our incident 15/2011), on the morning of New Year’s Day.
Following a restocking of vehicle contents and a general tidy up, team members finally closed our base at 07:30 New Year’s Day morning.
In total, throughout the entire evening, 17 calls were dealt with, comprising of 1 code Purple, 9 code Red, 6 code Amber & 1 code Green call.
Yet again we would like to place on record, our grateful thanks to all at NWAS ECC for their tremendous support and assistance during the evening. Similar thanks are extended to the NWAS RRV Crews & Emergency Ambulance crews which we worked alongside.
