Absolutely fantastic donation news from Jill Riding, outgoing Lady Captain at Bolton Golf Club.
Twelve months ago, Jill Riding of Horwich, a neighbour of our Team Secretary Gillian Gregory, requested a Bolton MRT collectingbox for the ladies’ locker room at Bolton Golf Club.
Gillian Gregorypromptlydelivered a team collectingbox to Jill Ridinglast March (2010) and discovered that she was about to start her year as Lady Captain of Bolton Golf Club and had very kindly chosen to raise funds for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team in her year in office as Lady Captain, alongside agreeing to ’host’ a collecting box.
As this article reveals, thischoice of Jill’s to kindly support the team over her year as Lady Captain, subsequently proved to bea popular choice amongst the incredibly kind and very generous lady members of the Bolton Golf Club.
Jill’s captaincy came to an end on Tuesday 22nd March 2011 and today she visited Team Secretary Gillian Gregoryto hand over the proceeds of her very successful collecting for the team during the last year.
Gillian Gregory was absolutely amazed to be presented with a huge cheque donation to the team for the marvelous sum of £1,147.80.
Outgoing Lady Captain of Bolton Golf Club, Jill Ridinghad already brought the original collectingbox she first received from us in March 2010,on the 18th March 2011, handing it over to Gillian Gregory, the contents coming to £37.00, which, when added to the wonderful cheque donation of £1,147.80,means the team has receiveda huge grand total donation of £1,184.80 from Bolton Golf Club Ladies Section.
The entire team membership extends its sincere and very grateful thanks to Jill Riding and all her colleague members of Bolton Golf Club Ladies Section for their very kind and very much appreciated support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
