More kind comments received regarding our Official Handover, Blessing and Dedication Evening Ceremony for our three new Team Land Rovers, Team Minibus and our Search and Rescue Boat, that took place on the evening of Tuesday May 3rd 2011 at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ

Since holding the above event our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE has received the following very kind comments via email from the following guests and organisations present:

From Sharon Bolus of Bolton CVS (Council for Voluntary Service);
“Thank you for last night, I really enjoyed coming to look at the new rescue vehicles and got some good pictures. I am so sorry I couldn’t stay for all of it and hope everything else went well.

Kind Regards, Sharon Bolus, Grants Support Worker.”

From John Crawford, Treasurer of the East Lancashire Mark Benevolent Fund;

“Hello Gary
All of us from ELMBF would like to express our sincere and grateful thanks for a most excellent evening. I don’t think it could have gone any better even if it
had been planned!!!
All success for the future to You and ALL the team
John Crawford
Treasurer ELMBF.”

From Karon Forster, the casualty involved in a recent climbing accident at Cadshaw Castle Rocks crag, to which the team responded;

“Dear Garry
We had a great night! Thank-you so much to all the Team for their welcome and hospitality. I couldn’t help but empathise with so many of the comments from the sponsors and presenters regarding the amazing individuals in the Team, the well-administered website and the kind acknowledgements. I have to agree, you all totally deserve the great equipment you all now have at your disposal, particularly from my perspective as a recent ’customer’!

From our family:

Girls’ comments “great night, really enjoyed it, love the new equipment. Wish we could have been earlier for the food but top notch. Loved the DVD. Great people who really welcomed us. Would like to be ’training casualties’ (message to Diane – perhaps summer holidays when not needing to get up for school?) Please can we come to your dances?”

Kenny – thought the guy in the stretcher got a rough deal on the night….. (He was impressed, nevertheless by the Headquarters).

As it was around 6:50 when we arrived (accident on M60) I didn’t get to thank all the individuals involved on Good Friday. This would include Steve Fletcher and also Derek Cartwright of the NWAS. I would be extremely grateful if my gratitude and apologies for not thanking them in person on the night, could be passed on. I would also appreciate it if you could let me know if there is anyone I have missed. I do appreciate how busy you all are.

I hope the fires have been brought under control and the Team have some respite. Hope you all enjoy the scones we left. (Webmaster; “We did, eating them on Incident 35, the fire at Anglezarke, and very nice too !”)

Very Best Wishes

Karon, Kenny & Family.”

From John Barlow, Immediate Past Chairman of Edgworth Real Ale Festival committee,
“Thought Tuesday went really well – once again credit to the tremendous organisational skills always on show at BMRT. We almost feel like part of the team after two years and are always made so welcome.”

From Steve Parkinson, GMFRS, Station Manager, Bolton Central Fire Station;

“Thanks so much for your kind invite to last nights dedication evening. I found it thoroughly enjoyable and it was nice to meet all of the team and your guests.”
