Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

12th June 2011

This afternoon Team members in one of our new Team Land Rover Ambulance vehicles (BM1) visited our dear friend and very valued team supporter, Jim Fletcher at ’The Shed,’ Belthorn, Darwen, to present Jim with a framed ’Certificate of Thanks,’ for his continuing tremendous and very much appreciated fund raising efforts for the team.

Present in the vehicle was our Team Training Officer Elaine Gilliland, Team Call Out list member Stephen Kenworthy and Trainee Team members Dave Cook and Phil Crook.

Whilst present, Jim presented to the team members the latest proceeds from the team Collecting Box Jim kindly maintains at ’The Shed,’ Belthorn Village, to support the team.

Counting out the proceeds in front of an interested Jim, the amount came to the fantastic sum of £307.45p.

Jim Fletcher at this point promptly asked could he have the proceeds ’back,’ and in turn in an incredible selfless act of kindness and support of the team (And not for the first time we might add) wrote out a cheque for £1,000.00 to the team.

This very generous act took our four members present by total surprise, and on behalf of the team they sincerely thanked Jim for his kindness, as ever, towards supporting the team.
