The Team receives a fantastic donation from NWAS (Lancashire) Darwen Ambulance Station staff at today’s Community Safety Day / 999 Emergency Services Day, Darwen Town Centre.
Whilst present at today’s Community Safety Day / 999 Emergency Services Day, in Darwen Town Centre, Lancashire, (See below report) the team were delighted to accept the fantastic donation of £250.00 from NWAS (Lancashire) Darwen Ambulance Station Social Club.
NWAS (Lancashire) Operations Supervisor Esmail Rifai of Darwen Ambulance Station, kindly presented the cheque donation to the team today at the Darwen Community Safety Day / 999 Emergency Services Day, explaining that they had thoughtfully chosen Bolton Mountain Rescue Team as beneficiary of half of the proceeds of their accumulated Social Club fund due to the extensive support and hard work provided by the team to NWAS (Lancashire) and specifically Darwen Ambulance Station during the bad weather bouts over the last two years, particularly the wintry snows and ice.
Also attending the presentation were NWAS (Lancashire) Luke Mariner, Andrew Graham and Annie Hegarty, all from Darwen Ambulance Station and The Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, Councillor Karimeh Foster, and the Mayor’s Consort, Councillor David Foster.
The other beneficiary of the funds kindness were the Hospice ‘Raise the Roof’ Appeal, and the team are very humbled to be chosen alongside this very worthy cause.
The whole team membership would like to express our sincere and much appreciated thanks to all our colleagues at NWAS (Lancashire) Darwen Ambulance Station for choosing us as their beneficiary and also for their fantastic support given to the team.
As ever we look forward to working closely with all at NWAS (Lancashire) Darwen Ambulance Station in the future.
