Bank holidays may mean time off for many, but for our crew it can mean even more call outs. On Sunday alone, we attended 11 missions! Here's one of the many we attended, in @TheBoltonNews, all thanks to your support. A huge thank you to @BoltonMRT too! bit.ly/2GwNjqm

Huge thank you to everyone who donated or entered our competition today. We raised just over £540, which is just amazing! All mountain rescue teams are run by volunteers and all the money to keep our teams running has to be raised. We truly appreciate you supporting us. Thanks
Wow there’s so many of you up at Rivington Pike! This is the place to be!!! We’ll be here up until four so pop up and see us. pic.twitter.com/Ihfh9ffx9G
Some of our team are based at Rivington Top Barn. We are on duty for the traditional Good Friday walk up Rivington Pike. It’s getting very busy even if a little damp. We are teaching some of our young visitors CPR. pic.twitter.com/v5Kuq2prFx

Team Guestbook – and we are now live on Twitter!
For our regular readers of our ‘News’ pages and there are many, may we suggest an occasional visit to our ‘Guestbook’ pages within this website, where you will find lots of kind comments about our work from members of the public, often humorous comments from former team members, and very kind comments and thanks from those we have rescued.
We also have a Twitter site, which although it has not yet been ‘officially launched’ already has over 180x followers, will you be our 200th follower ?
We feel this latest foray into the use of social media will prove just as successful as our website has become, which since going live in October 2001 has registered over one million hits (As this report was written our hit tally was registering 1,181,849 hits). Besides ‘visitors’ from England, Wales and Scotland as you would expect, we’ve had European visitors from Ireland to as far afield as the Balkans, and from the United States of America to Mexico.
Why not introduce a friend to our website or Twitter site, we are regularly told by new supporters that they find our website very interesting and always up to date.
