Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

2nd September 2012

Today, team member Dave Marsh along with his trainee Drowned Victim Search Dog Sasha, travelled across to the sunny climes of Austerfield [South East of Doncaster].

Dave, attending in his official capacity of Secretary of the National Search and Rescue Dog Association [NSARDA] with the sole purpose of carrying out an ’informal site inspection’.

Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Search and Rescue [YALSAR] have a newly formed search dog section and Dave was invited across to view and advise on how the association can advance. They have submitted a request to join NSARDA and Dave attended prior to their application being considered in October 2012.

Three young dogs and handlers attended, plus supporting members of YALSAR and it is pleasing to note that a very enjoyable training session was undertaken.
No doubt Dave will update us all as to the result of their application in due course.
