Incident 83/2012
Following an initial alert late yesterday evening, this morning our Trailing Search Dog Handler Steve Nelson of SARDA (Wales) and his Trailing Search Dog Boris, deployed at 08.30hrs from his Bury home address, to the Wirral area, to join an on going search operation to locate a missing 80 year old man, David Hannam.
David Hannam was reported missing to Cheshire Constabulary by his family on Sunday 25th November 2012.
That same day, Cheshire Constabulary called upon Cheshire Search and Rescue Team of ALSAR, to assist them in the search operation.
Continuing throughout Monday, Tuesday and then today, the search operation gained added resources yesterday evening (Tuesday 27th November) when Cheshire Constabulary called out NEWSAR from NWMRA (Who at the time were also involved in the flooding incident at St Asaph)
Steve and Boris arrived at the search RVP at 09.30hrs, and following a briefing, commenced his search operations with Boris, alongside other SARDA assets from SARDA (Wales), NEWSAR and CSAR resources.
The search involving Steve and Boris, took in the Willaston area of the Wirral and the Wirral Way.
Steve and his specialist dog Boris, left the search operation early afternoon, returning to his Bury home address by 14.15hrs.
We understand that as of Thursday 29th November, this search operation conducted by Cheshire Constabulary is continuing.
