Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

1st January 2013

At 11.27hrs this New Years Day morning, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE was contacted directly by NWAS (Manchester) Emergency Operations Centre for the teams assistance with the report of a male casualty who had fallen in fields near to City Airport Manchester (Barton) / Barton Moss area.

Working with the EOC to establish the casualties likely location based upon the informants information, the RVP was thought to be in the region of Barton Grange Farm / Barton Moss Road.

With the RVP established, a full team pager call out was initiated at 11.38hrs, with our Team Leader going mobile at this time to meet the NWAS Ambulance crew on scene.

At 11.42hrs NWAS EOC stood down the teams response, as no longer required, with a pager stand down sent at 11.43hrs.

By this time, three team members, Chris Greenhalgh, Steve Fletcher and Gillian Leigh were all present at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ preparing to respond in our two Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance vehicles garaged at this location.

This request is detailed here for information and interest only and does not feature in our ‘Incident Listings’ for 2013.
