Team attends a special presentation evening as guests of Heath Charnock Women”s Institute

This evening, very long serving Team (Reserve) Call Out list member Diane Blakeley and our Team Chairman Craig Lamb journeyed to the meeting of Heath Charnock Women’s Institute, held at Rivington Church Hall, Rivington, where they were both received as the special honoured guests of Heath Charnock Women’s Institute to accept a donation presentation to the Bolton MRT.
Diane Blakeley reported:

“Tonight Team Chairman Craig Lamb and I had the pleasure of visiting Heath Charnock WI who meet in Rivington. Last year experienced team member Gill Leigh and current Team Training Officer Dave Marsh gave a talk to Heath Charnock WI where they received a wonderful £50.00 donation. Tonight we were invited back to collect a further very kind and generous donation of £220.00. This thoughtful donation was raised on Saturday 4th May 2013, by the members of the Heath Charnock Women’s Institute at the Rivington Village May Festival. They had a stall at the event selling bric a brac, plants, cakes, crafts etc. Obviously to raise such a fantastic amount is down to the sheer hard work and dedication of all the WI members.”

“The cheque was presented by Heath Charnock WI President Caroline Hesketh and Treasurer Sheila Riley. All the members of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team would like to pass on their heartfelt thanks for this wonderful donation.”
