New Incident Control Vehicle pre – handover meeting
Further to our report dated Wednesday 8th May, today five team Call Out list members held the latest meeting at Coleman Milne, Westhoughton, to view progress on our brand new Incident Control Vehicle.
Now with all works substantially complete, todays late afternoon visit was to ‘snag’ some items, and discuss further the IT and Radio fit with Coleman Milne’s specialist staff.
All five of our team members present today; Alistair Greenough, Equipment Officer (Vehicles) Chris Greenhalgh, Treasurer and Incident Control Vehicle Project Officer Martin Banks, Equipment Officer (IT and Communications) Steve Fletcher and our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, were very impressed with the vehicle in its current practically finished state.
Aside from some minor outstanding works, all that now remains is the Pre Delivery Inspection by Volkswagen UK following which we will accept delivery, followed by a short period to programme the various IT and communication systems on board, prior to its imminent commissioning into operational team service.
As ever we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Area Sales Manager Graham Clow, Design Engineer / Project Engineer Simon Baxendale and Andrew Foster (All things Electrical) all of Coleman Milne, who have been fantastic in their understanding and interpretation of our thoughts and wishes, resulting in this truly fantastic vehicle.
