On Wednesday 13th March 2013, we reported within our website on twenty two team members taking part in the written examination for their MREW Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Course, the culmination of many months of training and study, held within the teams training programme.
Eighteen team members passed this exacting written paper, with two members resitting and passing the written paper on Thursday 28th March 2013, and one member resitting and passing the written paper on Wednesday 1st May 2013.
On Wednesday 27th March 2013, twenty one team members (From the 22x who had sat their written paper on 13th March) took their final examination under the MREW Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Course, namely the two part Medical and Trauma Scenario tests, which constituted both practical and oral aspects.
We were very happy to report at the time that all twenty one team members who took their examinations on 27th March, successfully passed.
On Wednesday evening 1st May, a further group of Team Call Out list members sat their written examination for their MREW Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Course, which was followed on Wednesday 15th May 2013 by their two part Medical and Trauma Scenario test examinations, constituting both practical and oral aspects.

On Wednesday 15th May 2013, a further twenty four team members took their practical examinations, with the excellent news that all but one successfully passed this examination.
Also on Wednesday 15th May 2013, our first tranche of twenty proud team members who had passed all their examinations, formally received their actual MREW Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Course Certificate, which is valid for three years, expiring on 27th March 2016. (Certificates for other successful team members are currently being prepared by the MREW Registrar)
A further ten team members re-sat their written examination paper this evening, Wednesday, 12th June 2013, with six members gaining a pass mark.
