Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received a telephone call from our close friends at Cheshire Search and Rescue Team, informing us of their newly appointed Team Leader, Simon Lane.
The whole Bolton MRT membership extends its best wishes to Simon on his new appointment and wishes him every success in leading Cheshire SRT and continuing to develop the team based upon the great foundations made by outgoing Team Leader Jo McClure and her predecessors.
As usual new recruits to Cheshire Search and Rescue Team will be joining us on our Annual Joint Foundation Course in Mountain Rescue weekend scheduled for Friday 11th October to Sunday 13th October 2013.
Co-incidentally Simon’s father, Dave Lane of Swinton, Manchester, is not only a valued supporter of the Bolton MRT, but is also a long time friend of our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, since the two first met as voluntary Patrol Rangers with the North West Water Rivington Ranger Service in 1976.
