Team welcomes two of our newest Support Group members to our latest Valet Day.
The last Sunday in every month, the team holds its monthly Vehicles, Trailers, SAR Boat, and Base / HQ Valet and Vehicle checks, Search and Rescue Equipment checks day, at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
With six team vehicles and a considerable amount of team SAR equipment to maintain and check over, these days are always busy.
Our Support Group always lends an appreciated hand, and at todays 10.30hrs start we were joined by two of our latest Support Group recruits, Andy Hitchon and Gary Melia, who were immediately initiated into the mysteries of mop, bucket, hosepipe, polishing cloths versus Land Rovers, a Ford Transit Minibus, VW Crafter Van, and two trailers !
Meanwhile Support Group members Sarah Hindle and Amanda Strickleton, set to on the monthly interior clean / check of our Catering Trailer.
Twenty four Team Call out list members were also present, little thwarted by the onset of the heavy afternoon rainfalls.
These days are considered essential by the team to keep all our assets and resources in tip top condition. (incidentally, regardless of the monthly regularity of these days, all our vehicles and team equipment is kept clean and checked after every training and operational use)
