Bolton Mountain Rescue Team attending forthcoming GMFRS Community Fire Station Open Days at Broughton, Irlam and Bolton Central during last week of August
Demonstrating the excellent links and relationships we have with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, the Bolton MRT will be present to display our vehicles and specialist search and rescue equipment at the following GMFRS Community Fire Station Open Days;
- Sunday 25th August 2013, GMFRS Broughton Community Fire Station in Salford (Where our Equipment Officer – Vehicles, Chris Greenhalgh, works as a full time Fire Fighter on Green Watch)
- Monday 27th August 2013, GMFRS Irlam Community Fire Station.
- Saturday 31st August 2013. GMFRS Bolton Central Community Fire Station (Where we garage one of our four Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulances and our Incident Control Vehicle)
At all three Open Days GMFRS will have a range of current operational Fire Appliances on display, Vintage Fire Engines from the Greater Manchester Fire Museum, refreshments and displays of RTC casualty extrication, and their impressive ‘kitchen fire’ demonstration unit.
Later this year we will also be attending GMFRS Community Fire Station Open Days at Eccles on Saturday 14th September and at Bolton North (Crompton Way) – where we garage another of our four Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance vehicles, on Saturday 19th October.
