Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

12th December 2013

On Wednesday 18th September 2013, we announced that Clevelands Preparatory School, Chorley New Road, Bolton, had very kindly decided to adopt us as their supported charity.

So far the team has made two visits to the school in this respect, on both occasions displaying our vehicles and comprehensive search and rescue equipment to the pupils, teachers and staff and even some interested parents.

This lunchtime, two team Call Out list members, Paul Copley and Steve O’Hara, accepted a very kind invitation from the school to attend their Christmas Lunch.

Paul Copley reports;

“We had lunch with the children of the school and other invited guests of the school.”

“The excellent two course meal was enjoyed by all.”

“After lunch we chatted to some of the schools pupils eager to talk about our previous visit and their experiences on the mountain rescue stretchers.”

Paul and Steve would like to thank all staff and pupils for their kind invite and very enjoyable lunch, they would also like to make a special mention to the chef and catering staff at the school for providing such an excellent lunch.
