Very kind and sincere large overall total donation made to the team in the memory of the late Mrs Marjorie Anderton

Today we humbled to announce the receipt of twenty eight very kind and sincere donations all made in the memory of the late Mrs Marjorie Anderton.

Marjorie Anderton was the dearly loved Grandmother of long serving Team call Out list current member Matthew Hailwood.

Amongst the many individual donations made by family and friends were donations made by the Bolton Bridge Club and Windsor Road Raffle Club.

One very large donation was very sincerely made by Majories daughter Mrs Janet Hailwood and Son in Law Mr Michael Hailwood, Matthews mum and dad.

In a letter to our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE from the Hailwood family, Janet, Mike, Matthew and Rebecca, Janet explained;

“Dear Garry and the Team.

Please kindly accept these donations in memory of my late mum Majorie Anderton in lieu of flowers at her funeral service.”

The donations made in total amount to £615.00.

The entire team membership expresses its thanks to the family of the late Mrs Majorie Anderton for their kindness in asking that donations be made in Majories memory to the work of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

We would also like to express our condolences to all who knew Majorie, and to all who made such kind donations in her everlasting memory.

The team will be erecting a Dedication Plaque to Majories memory in our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
