This evening our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE attended the Greater Manchester Emergency Services Liaison Group meeting.
Usually held quarterly, the GMESLG serves to unite all the statutory emergency Services working in Greater Manchester with the mountain rescue teams which assist them, discussing procedures, incidents, developments and items of mutual interest.
Each participating organisation takes their turn at hosting the meeting, and this evening the proceedings were hosted by Oldham MRT at their Boarshurst Business Park, Greenfield, Oldham, Base / Team vehicle garage.
The following were present or represented at tonight’s meeting; GMP Force Incident Control Room, GMP Missing Person Search Managers, Bolton MRT, Rossendale and Pendle MRT, Kinder MRT, Glossop MRT, and Oldham MRT, with apologies from NWAS and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
The meeting commenced at 19.30hrs finishing at 21.00hrs, with the next GMESLG meeting scheduled for Thursday 4th December 2014, hosted by Bolton MRT at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
