Today the team was very pleased to have been associated once again for the third year running, with the Bolton Hill Marathon event.
Organised by Phil Eccleston from Bolton, todays event took in a course from Moss Bank Park in Bolton, north across the moors to White Coppice, Brinscall Woods and a return along the Rivington reservoir chain back to Moss Bank Park.
This event aims to raise money for many charities, with the beneficiaries of this year’s entry donations being ourselves and the Brathay Trust.
The Stansfield Sports Injury Clinic was kindly on hand to assist all runners at the start and finish, with all monies raised by their treatments on offer being kindly donated to the National Autistic Society.
The team was on hand to provide first aid and standby rescue cover, with demands for such thankfully minimal.
In total we had twenty two team call out list members present in three of our Team Land Rover Defender Mountain Rescue Ambulance vehicles.
Team members first met at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ for a 09.00hrs departure, with members out covering the day in two shifts, morning and afternoon (that said some members were out all day)
All members present stood down from the event late afternoon, finishing back at our Ladybridge Base / HQ by 17.00hrs
