A very kind personal donation from team friend Alan Sumner of Radcliffe Athletics Club

On Wednesday evening 5th February 2014, Alan Sumner alongside his fellow Radcliffe Athletics Club colleague Mark Emmett, visited us at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ – their visit being reported at the time within the ‘News’ pages of our website.

Since this time we went on to provide standby rescue cover for Radcliffe Athletics Club Bull Hill Fell Race last year and again this evening.

Immediately prior to the commencement of this evenings Bull Hill Fell Race, at the event start, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE was approached by Alan Sumner who was officiating at the race.

Alan very kindly handed over to Garry a wonderful personal donation of his for £160.00 for the Bolton MRT.

Alan explained to Garry that he had raised this very kind donation whilst taking part in the Joss Naylor Challenge on Wednesday 1st July 2015.

The entire team membership wishes to express its sincere thanks to Alan Sumner of Edgworth for this very kind, thoughtful and supportive personal donation to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
