Great donation from Blackrod Scarecrow Festival ‘Scarecrow Mountain Rescue’ display
On Monday 6th July 2015 we reported within our website on the fantastic Scarecrow MRT / Bolton MRT themed display at this years Blackrod Scarecrow two day Festival, Saturday 4th / Sunday 5th July 2015.
Over the weekend of the 4th & 5th July 2015, the ninth annual Blackrod Scarecrow Festival was held with 131x officially registered Scarecrows (and many more not registered) in various locations around Blackrod, which engaged the whole community, with many events including school fates, open days and associated events held over the same weekend.
We were delighted to report that Bolton Mountain Rescue Team was supported by a fantastic friend of the team, Joanna Sweet, with her version of Scarecrow Mountain Rescue, with Scarecrows mimicking the team (Some would say that’s how we dress normally !)
We are now very happy to report the receipt of a very kind donation of £16.25p raised by Joanna Sweet at her display, which has been thoughtfully passed on to the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
All in the team membership wish to extend our grateful thanks to Joanna Sweet for her time and great effort pout in to her display and for raising this money in such a unique way, thank you.
