Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

2nd February 2016

On the evening of Monday 1st February, we were pleased to welcome to our Base / HQ the 8th Tyldesley Brownies.

The group of 24 Brownies plus leaders were met by experienced team members Gill Leigh, Equipment Officer – Base and Catering Paul Copley and Heath Doran. (The latter two were extremely tired from the previous night’s call out – Incident 20).

The evening kicked off with a talk and discussion about the work of the team, followed by a short film to further demonstrate the types of incidents we get called out to.

The Brownies were then split into three groups to enable them to rotate around a number of stations for some practical, hands on experiences.

These included bandaging skills, mountain rescue stretcher loading and of course the ever popular testing of the sirens and flashing blue lights on our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance.

At the end of the evening Gill, Paul and Heath were delighted to be presented with a wonderfully kind cheque donation for £30.00.

The whole team membership would like to thank 8th Tyldesley Brownies for this very kind donation.
