Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

This evening, following a visit by the ‘first half’ of the Squadron on Thursday evening, 11th February 2016 (see website ‘News’ report dated the same) the ‘second half’ of 1471 (Horwich) Squadron Air cadets visited us at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ this evening.

They were met by our Equipment Officer – Base and Catering Paul Copley, Heath Doran, Michael Wakerley and Martin Battersby.

The group watched the latest MREW film followed by quick question and answers session.

Then the Cadets present were split into two groups, each in turn taking in team vehicles and mountain rescue stretchers downstairs in the garage, then upstairs talking about the contents of the teams Trauma Care ruck sack and the use of our new training manikin, familiarly named by team members as ‘Lurch,’ showing the Cadets how we use it for medical and trauma care training for example ; the use of airway devices.

The team would like to thank the Air Cadets for taking the time to visit us and their obvious interest in the night’s activities.

Finally a huge thanks from all at Bolton Mountain Rescue Team for the very kind donation of £20.00 made this evening.
