Bank holidays may mean time off for many, but for our crew it can mean even more call outs. On Sunday alone, we attended 11 missions! Here's one of the many we attended, in @TheBoltonNews, all thanks to your support. A huge thank you to @BoltonMRT too! bit.ly/2GwNjqm

Huge thank you to everyone who donated or entered our competition today. We raised just over £540, which is just amazing! All mountain rescue teams are run by volunteers and all the money to keep our teams running has to be raised. We truly appreciate you supporting us. Thanks
Wow there’s so many of you up at Rivington Pike! This is the place to be!!! We’ll be here up until four so pop up and see us. pic.twitter.com/Ihfh9ffx9G
Some of our team are based at Rivington Top Barn. We are on duty for the traditional Good Friday walk up Rivington Pike. It’s getting very busy even if a little damp. We are teaching some of our young visitors CPR. pic.twitter.com/v5Kuq2prFx

ASDA Horwich and their Customers support Bolton Mountain Rescue Team
ASDA stores operate a Green Token Scheme in their supermarkets to support local charitable organisations. Bolton Mountain Rescue Team was chosen by the ASDA store in Middlebrook, Horwich, as one of three nominated charities for April 2016 and we were delighted to learn that as we had received the most votes from their customers, we would be awarded a cheque from the ASDA Foundation.
Our Secretary, Gillian Gregory, was invited by ASDA Community Champion, Lynda Gallimore, to visit the Horwich store earlier this week to receive the cheque. On arrival, Gillian was surprised and delighted to learn that the cheque was for a fantastic £500.
This money will be used to purchase new rope rescue harnesses for team use in our search and rescue work.
We would like to thank the Charities Committee at ASDA Horwich and Community Champion Lynda Gallimore for nominating Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, ASDA’s kind customers for voting for us, and The ASDA Foundation for the marvellous donation of £500.
