At 21:16 this evening the team was contacted by our neighbouring team Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team for assistance in a search for a missing man in the Colne area.
Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team had been contacted earlier in the evening, together with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, by Lancashire Constabulary to conduct a search for the man, last seen on a bridge overlooking the canal.
11 team members responded meeting at Colne and Nelson RUFC. A trailing Search Dog from Cheshire LSART and SARDA Wales also arrived to assist with the search.
As a review of the existing search areas and identification of additional search areas was underway, the good news was relayed that Rossendale and Pendle MRT had found the gentleman, safe and well, albeit a little cold and wet.
