Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

4th April 2014

It is with sadness that we report on the discovery of a body in relation to the search for the missing man, that we alongside colleagues from GMP and other Search and Rescue teams took part in earlier this week (Our Incidents 36 and 37 – 2014)

Yesterday morning (Thursday 3rd April) the body of a man, believed to be the missing man, was found in the Barton Moss area, on land in the vicinity between City Airport Manchester (Barton) boundary and the Eccles Cemetery area, off Argosy Drive.

Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, Rossendale and Pendle MRT, Cheshire Search and Rescue Team, and those members of SARDA who took part in the search operations of Monday and Tuesday this week, alongside colleagues from GMP and NPAS, extend condolences to the family, friends and associates of the man involved, a 31 years old father of two young sons.

Please see related website ‘News’ reports dated Monday 31st March, Tuesday 1st April and Wednesday 2nd April 2013.
