This evening, Dave Capper the Assistant Scout Leader, and Darren Williams the Cub Scout Leader of 3rd Farnworth Scout Group visited the team to discuss with our Team Leader sponsorship details for a money-raising event to raise funds for the team that the 3rd Farnworth Scout Group is undertaking.

Scout Leaders Dave Boulton, Dave Capper and Cub Scout Leaders Sid and Joe Branion are taking part in the Adult Pike View Hike on the 10th-12th October 2008, with sponsorship provided by the young members of 3rd Farnworth Scout Group with the aim of raising money to be split equally between the Scout Group and Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

As an incentive to the young Scouts and Cubs to raise sponsorship for the team, the 3rd Farnworth Scout Leaders have a two man tent as a prize to the Scout or Cub who raises the most sponsor money.

The team wishes to thank the 3rd Farnworth Scout Group Leaders, Dave Boulton, Dave Capper, and Sid and Joe Branion for offering to do this to raise funds for the team.
