Regular readers will be aware of our continuing decorating and refurbishment works being carried out at our Ladybridge Hall base HQ (see news articles dated 1st August 2008 and 12th August 2008).
With regards to this work we have been greatly assisted by the very kind donation of paints, decorating materials and other items from the Leyland Decorating Centre, Bolton, and in particular their manager Peter Hughes.
Regular readers will recall that Peters’ kind agreement to so generously support the team came about through one of his assistants Jackie Mather who sadly lost her brother Andrew Smith in a drowning accident in Anglezarke reservoir on 14th May this year – see incident 57/2008.
This evening Peter Hughes along with his wife Michelle, and Jackie Mather visited our team base to ’inspect’ our decorating and refurbishment works which have been carried out using so much material donated by Leyland Decorating Centre, Bolton.
Peter took a great many pictures which he will now submit to his company magazine to illustrate his kindness and support of the team, with the dual purpose of raising awareness of our team (and mountain rescue in general) with the wide range of work we carry out including the sad search with such an unfortunate outcome for the brother of Jackie Mather in which the team played a major role.
The team is very grateful to Peter Hughes, Jackie Mather and all at Leyland Decorating Centre, Bolton for their continuing kind and very much appreciated support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
