During 2007 – 2008, the Mayor and Consort of Bolton raised funds for many local charities, and also raised some substantial funds for our colleagues at the North West Air Ambulance. This money was raised through organising many fundraising events held throughout Bolton.

Moving into 2008 – 2009, Councillors Barbara and Bob Ronson are now the Deputy Mayor and Consort of Bolton, and in finalizing their fundraising efforts they decided to include Bolton Mountain Rescue Team as one of their chosen benificiaries.

Today the team is delighted to announce the receipt of a fantastic £1,500 donation from the Deputy Mayor and Consort of Bolton. We would like to thank them and all those who contributed to their fundraising efforts for their kindness and generosity.

The team currently has a number of equipment replacement projects in hand, and the donation anounced today will greatly benefit both the team and the local community that it serves.
