This evening at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE met with PC Angela Paxton of Lancashire Constabulary (Darwen), who is based in Darwen Vale High School as the School Beat Manager. Part of her role at the school includes managing and organising the school based Police Cadet Scheme.

PC Angela Paxton approached the team to provide an insight into our work for the young Police Cadets, resulting in her meeting our Team Leader tonight to discuss what the team can provide.

This is familiar territory for us having been involved with the Greater Manchester Police Wigan and Bury Police Cadet scheme for a great many years now.

PC Angela Paxton will now arrange through the team some evening dates where we can provide the Cadets with some Basic Life Support / CPR training, team equipment familiarisation, some ’hands on training’ and the opportunity to take part in team training exercises and team search dog training exercises as ’ exercise casualties.’
