This evening our Team Leader, Deputy Leader and Chairman met with Gareth Halliburton abd Chris Hegarty of ROK Building Ltd to discuss a one year partnership arrangement with ROK Building Ltd as part of their community support programme within the Bolton area.
Gareth, a Quantity Surveyor, and Chris, a Site Manager with ROK are both based at a Bolton town centre construction project being undertaken by ROK.
On building projects undertaken by ROK the company runs a support programme for local charities, and Chris and Gareth visited the team tonight to discuss and agree how they could help the team.
We are very pleased to announce that ROK have kindly agreed to sponsor the team for a large sum of money up to November 2007 when their building project is due to complete on site in Bolton.
The team will be providing opportunities for ROK staff to link in with all aspects of the team’s running with much to learn from both organisations with regards to such varied matters as health & safety and management systems.
Coincidentally, and unaware of this sponsorship deal, the joint training exercise with Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service, Oldham MRT and ourselves on Sunday 15th October (#article#1415#see website entry#) took place on a tower crane within the site where ROK Building Ltd are the main contractor, indeed it was their tower crane that we trained on.
