Over 80 team members, ex team members, family, friends and supporters of the team attended the team’s annual Celidth at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Horwich. They were treated to an excellent evening’s entertainment by way of the Toll Bar Band with the dancing being broken by an excellent hotpot supper. Special thanks are due to those team members (they know who they are) who managed to sell such a lot of tickets. The team is very grateful to those who donated raffle prizes including Susan Rourke, and ex-team members who donated hill walking clothing and maps. The raffle raised £188.50 for the team, which combined with ticket sales resulted in this year’s dance raising a fantastic £266 for the team. (Mention must be made of our valued supporters known to readers as “DT” and “LT”, who thanks to their inability to follow any of the dance instructions and together having 4 left feet, provided the rest of the dancers with much entertanment!) Finally, a big thankyou to Claire Morrissey (and her partner Daniel Lewis) for their hard work organising this event and making it the success that it is.
