Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

31st August 2004

This evening, 10 Team members visited Blue Watch at GMFRS Eccles Fire Station, to give a presentation on the work and equipment of Bolton MRT. We took along BM1, 3 and 4, to display our different vehicle equipment kits, and our Team Leader and Deputy Leader gave a short introductory talk on the role of the Team prior to a full equipment demonstration to members of the watch. One of two GMFRS Water Incident units is based at Eccles Fire Station, and it was the Eccles-based unit that we worked alongside on incident numbers 58/2004 (Blue Lagoon, Belmont) and 64/2004 (Dunham Massey). This presentation is part of an on-going series of liaison visits and equipment presentations we have been regularly doing over the previous few years with the various watches of the Fire Stations we are likely to work with, or indeed, have worked with, on multi-agency response incidents.
