Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

9th June 2004

At our regular Wednesday evening training session, we focused this week on our BLS, CPR and cardiac awareness skills. GMAS Paramedic, and former team member, Peter Idle once again lent his excellent training skills to the team, being joined by our other instructors, current team members Peter McKale, a GMAS Ambulance Technician, and Jim Wareing, a long serving and now retired GMAS Ambulanceman.
We welcomed to this training session three GMAS trained First Responders, who all operate in the Horwich First Responder scheme, and utilise the same AED Defribilators that we in the team utilise. We have attended one joint response with the Horwich First Responders so far, and obviously the potential for joint working exists, so joint awareness training opportunities like this are great for getting to know each other.
