NWAS Ladybridge Hall
June 2003 onwards
We had the offer of the use of two bays from a five bay garage at GMAS Ladybridge Hall Training School, in Bolton, and also the entire roof space of the garage, a very large area indeed.

So what felt like many years ago, was in fact only a short time of 1 year ago, 18th June 2003 to be exact, Ex-Team Member and Team supporter Mike Williamson paid a visit to Ladybridge Hall to have a look round, and came up with some suggestions on what we could do.

First views of the upstairs room we can use was met with various levels of ideas, horror, and constructive thoughts.

The next step was a preparation of the walls so that the builders could start working on the main construction of the innards.

Tony McNally was in charge of the building work, before, during, and after tenders had gone out. The builder was chosen and building work began. The first and most important work was to gain access upstairs by building a stairwell, as previously there had only been a vertical ladder in one of the bays, which was deemed too dangerous to use. A partition wall was created in the garage bay given to us.

As soon as the stairs were built it gave us access upstairs and the main building and construction work could take place.
