We spent today on the moorland roads in our area, and were called upon to pull out a tow truck, that had come to rescue another tow truck, that had become stuck when trying to pull out a car!
Incident 54/2001: Tow truck recovery!

Today we were called to an animal rescue to bring a sheep up from a vertical bank at Anglezarke reservoir. Obviously thinking “that looks like a nice patch of grass”, the sheep decided to leap over a wall and promptly fell some 25 feet, into the water. The location was inaccessible to the farmer, and we were called in to help. A successful outcome – and the creature decided to make a break for it after we’d hauled it up!

Our last incident of November was a late evening SARDA call to assist RSRT with a search for a missing man in the Colne area of Lancashire. Paul and Blue attended (with navigator Ged Clarke), Dave and Chi (navigator Chris Moody) tried to attend, but Dave’s luck being Dave’s luck, the exhaust fell off his van. These things happen! (The search was inconclusive)
Regrettably an amount of PPE (jackets, waterproofs, helmet, radio etc.) was stolen from one of our team members' cars overnight. Estimated value £2500 - details at facebook.com/BoltonMRT/post… - this is not what we want to be spending our charity funds on.

It can be difficult for the emergency services to locate people. #HelpUsFindYou is their campaign to make people aware and suggest ways to help. For example making house numbers clearly visible. These precious minutes could make all the difference. @NWAmbulance pic.twitter.com/V7urigkHAD
