Incident 57/2017 – assisting our colleagues at Ashworth Valley, Heywood
At 13:09 today our colleages at Rossendale & Pendle MRT were called out by Greater Manchester Police, and then by North West Ambulance service to the report of a female with an ankle injury, some distance into the steep-sided Ashworth Valley, near Heywood.
Two team vehicles were mobilised to support this incident with 8 Bolton MRT members in total.
Team members assisted the RPMRT members and NWAS crew to carry the 59 year old female to the emergency vehicles RVP situated at the nearby Ashworth Valley Scout campsite.
Our thanks are expressed to the staff at the campsite for assisting during this incident and allowing our vehicles to park up in their grounds.

Incident 58/2017 – assisting our colleages at Lee Quarry, Bacup
At 14:41 this very sunny afternoon our colleagues at Rossendale & Pendle MRT were contacted by North West Ambulance service with the report of an injured mountain biker on the mountain bike trails at Lee Quarry, Bacup.
Our team was requested to assist in the event that a long carry was required, and two team vehicles were mobilised to assist with six team members total.
Fortunately the incident was not as complex as initially described and resources already on scene were able to manage the casualty; our responding team vehicles were stood down.
