Incident 59/2017 – GMP Assistance in the Tottington Area
Shortly after all personnel had retired from this evenings training, the team were contacted by Greater Manchester Police for assistance with an incident in the Tottington area of Bury.
As team members were gathering to collect vehicles, we were contacted again by the police saying they had enough personnel to deal with the incident.
The team would like to pass on our condolences to the womans family.

Incident 62/2017 – Ankle Injury Earnsdale Reservoir
At 22:11 this evening the team was contacted by the North West Ambulance Service for assistance with a casualty on the bank side of Earnsdale Reservoir, Darwen.
The man had sustained an ankle injury whilst walking. The single crew NWAS RRV had reached the man, but required our assistance to carry the man to the nearest road head.
16 team members responded to this incident, who were guided in to the location by the injured mans friend.
The mans leg was placed in a vacuum mattress before transferring onto a stretcher for the short carry to the waiting ambulance.
The team would like to wish the man a speedy recovery from his injury.
