A brilliant piece of news was that Horwich Floral Art Club have agreed to donate £1000 to the team, the cheque presentation is scheduled for early December – making this an excellent Christmas present.

Late in the month we gave a presentation to Greater Manchester Fire Service, Green watch at Agecroft Fire Station. Part of an ongoing series of presentations and exercises with GMFS, we’ve now visited and/or exercised with fire crews from Bolton Central, Horwich, Crompton Way, Leigh, Broughton, Farnworth, Bury, Eccles and of course Agecroft!

Mid October and six of our leaders and senior members attended a weekend Search Management Course at GMP’s training school, alongside GMP Search Managers (Missing Persons) and senior personnel from the Oldham and Rossendale Teams. Less than 2 days later we were putting theory into practice, with a search for a missing Ainsworth girl, which attracted massive publicity. (Garry our leader is available for autographs following his TV, radio and press appearances on this search!)
In June 2020 we sent over ten fire engines, to a moorland fire upon Darwen Moor as well as a lot of resources from @unitedutilities @BoltonMRT and other agencies attending this major incident incident. @DCCWoods has confirmed that two Lancashire residents have now been charged. twitter.com/DCCWoods/statu…
