At 16:30 the team was called by GMAS to a disused coal tip off Plank Lane, Leigh, where a mountain biker had fallen and sustained head injuries. He was quickly transported to the Royal Bolton Hospital in a team Landrover.

A young boy, on an outing with a youth group, fell down the side of Rivington Pike and was treated for suspected head, leg & spinal injuries, then evacuated via Helimed 08. Fortunately it transpired that the only injury was a twisted ankle!
