Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

10th February 2002

Following a recent membership appeal in the Bolton Evening News, combined with on line enquiries, we held an introductory session for interested potential team members this evening.
Four persons turned up at Overdale base for a morning concentrating on membership requirements, personal kit, team kit and training requirements.
In steadily worsening weather conditions (torrential rain really), they then joined team members for 2 hours on Rivington Moor, where the opportunity to practice navigation in nil-visibility conditions was grasped.
By all accounts despite being totally soaked through, all four enjoyed the days’ experiences, and have agreed to start as Probationary Team members.
The team still has vacancies for more team members. See our online initial application form.
