Very sad news on the loss of a great friend and supporter to the team; Jean Mulvaney
We are very sad to report that news has reached us that on Saturday 1st November 2014, Jean Mulvaney, a great friend and very kind supporter of Bolton MRT, sadly passed away.
We reported within our website ‘News’ section on 4th April 2014, that Jean was undergoing treatment for a serious illness, and had given up her leadership and involvement in the Victory Stompers Line Dancing Club to concentrate on her health, to which sadly she has now succumbed.
With charity line-dancing events held since 2010 by Jean, her friends and fellow line-dancers, the absolutely fantastic sum of £3,142.83 had been raised in total for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
The entire team membership wishes to express its sincere condolences to Jean’s husband, family and friends at this sad time for all who knew Jean and were touched by her kindness.
Jeans funeral is at 13.00 hrs on Wednesday 12th November 2014, at Overdale West Chapel, Bolton, with the cortege leaving her family home at 12.30 hrs.
Representatives from the team will be attending the funeral to pass on our respects, including Support Group members Amanda Strickleton and Gillian Gregory.
